Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
Good at beginning, long (very, very long) and boring at the end.
Watchmen
Watchmen is far from being the classic super-hero type movie Hollywood is used to offer us. Don't expect to get out of the movie entertained. Also, don't expect to have a classic super villain. At the end of the movie, you'll be rather be shaken and plunged into your thoughts. I think it has the potential to become a cult movie.
Taken
I would have rated this movie 3 (even 2.5) if it weren’t because of Liam Neeson. The story is a classic Hollywood one: a "john rambo" father trying to rescue his kidnapped daughter. Now when the pissed off father is portrayed by the charismatic and imposing Liam Neeson, the story becomes more intense.Lakeview Terrace
Another poor script Samuel Jackson picked. But I can understand why he picked it. There's a message behind the movie, something that people sometimes think about but never really talk in public: mixed couples, specially a white man with a black girl. There's also this image, some black people may sometimes make fun of: seing a white man, specially a well dressed and educated one, being in love with hip hop music. I know lots of them who grew with hip hop. In fact, some of them were even more addicted to the music than me, but when you saw them, you couldn't guess that they loved that music.
Keep it real Samuel, the movie kinda suck, but I still love ya!
Eagle Eye
Many reviews on sites or newspapers clashed the movie, saying it was an unreal story, action wasn’t that all good, etc.
I think the big reason why this movie had poor ratings was because it was being presented as action/thriller movie. The reality is that it’s an action packed science-fiction movie. It reminds me a lot from the movie War Games.
Tropic Thunder
One thing to say only: Tom Cruise has true talent for playing comedy. He should focus on that type of movies in the future.Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
Very entertaining, but the plot was rather weak.
Indy character is as always very charming, funny and goofy.
When will they make a Bob Marley movie ?
I often heard or saw movies about Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson or even other artists that are only known in the U.S. (Ritchie Valens, Johnny Cash, etc.), but how about the creator and king of reggae music, Bob Marley ? We're talking about a legend even bigger than the two others, whose music passed the test of time, and whose music influenced people all around the world (Africa, Europe, America, etc.).
