Netbook: The term Netbook was introduced by Intel in February 2008 to describe a category of low-cost and scaled-down subnotebooks used primarily for surfing the Internet, performing other basic functions such as word processing — either from applications installed on the netbook itself or via cloud computing. More than 50 million Netbooks are expected to be in widespread circulation by 2011. The first Netbooks should be available by June 2008.
Cloud computing: Cloud computing literally means Internet ('Cloud') based development and use of computer technology ('Computing'). It is a style of computing where IT-related capabilities are provided “as a service” using Internet technologies to multiple external customers. It allows users to access technology-enabled services without knowledge of, expertise with, nor control over the technology infrastructure that supports them.
